The standard settings used for synchronization with Gmail do not always detect the correct Outbox for clients using non-English email accounts. This can lead to sent emails not showing up on Life of the Lead.
To circumvent this problem, you can set up a Custom Email Syncing and specify which Outbox SharpSpring will pull emails from.
Step by Step Guide
Step One: On the toolbar, click the User Setting button, then select Settings.
Step Two: On the left-side under My Account, click Email Syncing and Tracking.
Step Three: Under Account Setup, click the Provider drop-down and select Custom.
Step Four: Provide the following information, then at the bottom right, click Save Change.
- Hostname: imap.gmail.com
- Port number: 993
- SSL encryption status: Yes
Step Five: The system will then prompt you to select the Inbox and Outbox to be used for Email Syncing. After selecting the correct email boxes, provide your email account password one more time. Once this is completed, your Email Sync has been successfully setup.
