SharpSpring enables you to remove the via sharpspring.com message from emails by providing you with it's own SPF record. SPF records identify the mail servers that are allowed to send an email from your domain.
The following FAQ should help you decide whether you need to use an SPF Record
Via Sharpspring.com's Effect on Email Delivery
The via sharpspring.com message will not directly influence the deliverability of emails. The via sharpspring.com tag simply means that our sending infrastructure is set up to authenticate as SharpSpring. The only concern here should be whether you're comfortable with end users seeing the via SharpSpring tag, rather than you or your client's domain.
Benefits of Using our own SPF Record
The only real benefit of setting up your own SPF record for your business is to eliminate the via SharpSpring message that is sometimes displayed by services like Gmail’s web-based email client (it is not displayed in other mail clients using Gmail).
Removing the via SharpSpring.com tag
For larger accounts, SharpSpring can white-label this entry which will remove the via from their domain. You will have to create the necessary DNS entries for this process. There is a $300 charge to verify the entries and setup the bindings on SharpSpring's end.
If this is something you're interested in, please click to email Partner Support and we will be happy to pass along the information regarding the DNS entries you need to create.
