When you visit a tracked page in SharpSpring, your DeviceID is recorded and tied to your account. If you would like to disable a tracked device, and turn off tracking for any various reason, here is a tutorial on how to do so.
Follow these steps to disable tracking for a lead in SharpSpring.
Step 1: From the top navigation bar under Contacts, select Contact Manager
Step 2: Select the contact with the tracked device that you want to disable
Step 3: In the contact’s profile, under Memberships, select Devices
Step 4: Click Disable Tracking next to the device that you want to no longer be tracked
Note: This will NOT remove previously tracked leads from VisitorID. You will need to delete the lead if you want them removed from VisitorID.
Congratulations, you have successfully disconnected a device from its contact and thus have disabled tracking on that specific device!
