Personas are fictional representations of your customer audiences, designed to produce higher conversions by making personalized messaging simple.

Personas with Lists
Personas are available as both a trigger or filter when creating lists. These lists can be dynamic or static lists.
To use a persona with a list, do the following:
- Click Lists in the left toolbar.
- Create or edit a list.
- Click Create Rule.

- Complete the list with other triggers, filters, or rule groups.

Personas with Action Groups
Personas are available for use when creating action groups. Leads can have their personas changed through the action group.
To use a persona with an action group, do the following:
- Click Automation > Action Groups in the left toolbar.
- Create or edit an action group.
- Click + Add > Action under Start or an applicable branch.
- Select change contact persona under Contact Edit Actions.
- Select the desired persona.
- Click OK.
- Complete the action group with other actions, time delays, or action groups.
Personas with Workflows
Personas can be changed or assigned to a lead through a Workflow Lead Edit Event.
To use a persona with a workflow, do the following:
- Click Automation > Visual Workflows in the left toolbar.
- Create or edit a workflow.
- Click + Add under Start or an applicable branch.
- Select either Trigger or Filter.
- Select is the persona under Lead.
- Select the desired persona.
- Click OK.
- Complete the workflow with other triggers, filters, time delays, or action groups.
Note: Triggers in workflows do not fire retroactively.
