|VisitorID uses the IP address of an anonymous contact currently visiting a SharpSpring-tracked site to attempt to pull information on said contact.
Anonymous results are available for traffic coming from known entities, such as businesses or organizations with static IP addresses.
Anonymous visitor information in VisitorID will vary based on geographic region, website traffic volume and type, and the data available in each region.
SharpSpring enables you to receive your client's daily VisitorID email results. This allows you to see their web visitors and prospects.
Configuring Daily Settings
To configure which user roles can receive email results, do the following:
Note: SharpSpring users that have not opened an email or logged into the application for 180 days will have their system notifications suppressed. This includes VisitorID, billing, and automation-based notifications.
Be aware that you will need to select to receive an email either daily or weekly in order to receive email VisitorID email notifications. This does not affect other automation notifications.
When enabled, these emails detail the following:
- The Receive emails about web prospects for my company option sends emails at a specific frequency about available prospective tracked leads and anonymous visitors that you should consider investigating.
- The Receive emails about web prospects for my clients option sends emails at a specific frequency to you about available prospective tracked leads and anonymous visitors for your clients that both you and your clients should consider investigating.
