For this particular use case, we want to add a link in our email that, when clicked, will open up a composition email pre-populated with the To and Subject lines. This will make it easy for a lead to quickly respond to your marketing communications.
The following User Roles have access to add links in the source code of an email:
- Marketing Managers
Follow these steps to add a clickable contact us link to an image in email.
Step One: On the toolbar, hover over Content, then on the drop-down, click Emails.
Step Two: On the left-side click to open an existing email or create a new email. If you need help, review the article Creating and Editing Emails.
Step Three: Double-click in the Content Block you want to add the contact us link and on the inline editor toolbar, click the <>Source Code button.
Step Four: In the Source code pop-up, place your cursor where you want the link to display. Input this line of code and add the correct email address, subject=, and text. <a href=”mailto:email@example.com?subject=My Subject Line” target=”_blank”>CONTACT US</a> , then click OK.
Step Six: On the top right, click Save. It is suggested to send a test email to make sure the link works correctly.
