SharpSpring enables you to create a hidden field. Hidden fields are fields that are invisible to a person who is filling out the form. These are used for collecting information that cannot be edited by the user. Hidden fields can also be used to detect whether a bot submitted the form information. Human users cannot even view the hidden field, but bots can view the field. If that field is filled out, you will know that a bot filled it out instead of a human user. SharpSpring makes adding a hidden field easy.
Follow these steps to add a hidden field to a form.
Step One: On the toolbar top right corner, click User Settings button, then on the drop-down, select Settings.
Step Two: Within the left-side Settings panel, under Features, click Custom Fields.
Step Three: To create a new field, on the top right, click Add Field, then on the drop-down click Lead Field.
To edit an existing field, scroll to the field name and to the right click Options, then on the drop-down click Edit Field.
Step Four: Name the field if it is new. Select your Field Type and click Hidden. Then click Create Field if new and if you are editing an existing field, then click Update Field.
