Examples for adding UTM codes to SharpSpring Emails:
Campaigns can be attributed using tracking rules. UTM codes are a common parameter for assigning campaigns based on site visits.
For example: User runs a Facebook ad and adds "?utm=facebookad1" to the end of the URL. When a lead clicks on the link and is redirected to a tracked SharpSpring page and later submits a form, the lead will become tracked because of the form submission and attributed to the SharpSpring Facebook Ad campaign because the system will recognize the UTM code.
UTM codes can be added to task and list triggers/filters to specify what page visits should trigger said automation.
For example: You are running a social media initiative and you use the UTM code "?utm=socialmedia" to identify visitors who have been referred by the link you are syndicating. Once a lead becomes tracked and the UTM is identified within their page visits, the tasks will trigger and the resulting workflow events will be scheduled to said lead.

Use these steps to add the UTM code to an email.
Step One: On the toolbar, hover over Content, then in the drop-down, select Emails.
Step Two: Within the left-side panel, in the Filter Email field, type the email name to filter, then select it.
Step Three: Double-click in a text area of the email and highlight a piece of text. Within the inline editor, click the plus + button, then on the drop-down click Link.
Step Four: On the pop-up, in the URL field, enter the web address then type the following and click Ok.
Step Five: On the top right, click Save.
