The Unsubscribe Survey is an addition to the Unsubscribe screen that allows you to gather information from leads and contacts about why they are unsubscribing from your communications. This information is passed to SharpSpring and appears:
In “Email Jobs”, under the “Delivery” tab with the “Unsubscribes” filter on
In “Email Reports”, under the “Unsubscribe Survey Results” section
In a Contact Record, at the top of the page in red text
When a contact clicks the unsubscribe link in your emails, they’ll be taken to the Unsubscribe Screen. If you have Granular Unsubscribe set up, they’ll be asked to specify which category of communications they’d like to stop receiving. For more on Granular Unsubscribe, see our page on How to Enable Granular Unsubscribe.
Additionally, they’ll be asked to answer a brief survey on why they are unsubscribing. They can choose one of the pre-made selections or select Other and fill in the reason in the text area.
This information will show up under the Email Jobs, Email Reports, and Contact record sections of SharpSpring.
Under Email Jobs, choosing a specific job, navigating to the Delivery tab, and turning on the Unsubscribes filter will display a list of the contacts who unsubscribed from receiving emails from you, along with the reason provided in the survey.
This same information is also available at the Email Reports level. Going to Email Reports, choosing the Email, and building the report will show you this information at the bottom, under the “Unsubscribe Survey Results” section.
Lastly, the reason a contact unsubscribed is available in their contact record. If they’ve chosen to unsubscribe, that information will be on the top of their record, in red text.
You can use this information to change your content or processes to better accommodate what your contacts are looking to receive from you. This will not only help your sender reputation and statistics, but also ensure that the correct contacts are receiving the correct content under the correct circumstances per your marketing efforts.
