Creating custom fields allows you to identify key pieces of information on your contacts, accounts, or opportunities. They can be used to segment leads in lists and can be used to trigger automations.

Step-by-Step Guide to Edit a Custom Field
Step 1: Click on the gray silhouette button located in the top right corner of the app.
Step 2: Select "Settings."
Step 3: On the left side panel, under Features, click on “Custom Fields.”
Step 4: On the "Custom Field Manager" page, find the field that you want to edit.
Step 5: Scroll to the right side of the page directly across from the field name. Click on the gray gear box.
Step 6: Select "Edit Field" in the single-option drop down menu.
Step 7: In the pop up menu, you can change the field label, type, and select whether the field is visible and/or editable in the contact manager, available to use as a form field, and available as an email merge variable.
Step 8: Once you have made your changes, click on the blue "Update Field" button. You've edited a Custom Field!
