SharpSpring enables you to exclude undesirable domains, IP addresses, or company names from your VisitorID results. The following video will show you how to exclude these items from VisitorID results in SharpSpring. However, if you prefer, a written step-by-step guide is available below the video for your convenience.
The following User Roles have access to add to the blacklist:
Follow the steps below to enter blacklist information.
Step One: On the toolbar, hover over Contacts and on the drop-down, click VisitorID.
Step Two: On the left-side of the page, click Options, then on the drop-down, click Edit Blacklisted Items.
Step Three: In the text input, enter the domain, IP address, or company name you would like to exclude. Domains match from right to left (i.e., example.com would match blog.example.com), and IP addresses match from left to right (i.e., 127.0 would match 127.0.127.127). Then click the Add Domain button.
NOTE: Mousing over an added item will display a red X button. Clicking this button will remove the item from your list of exclusions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. If I blacklist a domain, will leads from that domain still show in VisitorID?
A. Leads with a tracked device will continue to show in VisitorID when they visit a tracked page of your site. Unknown leads from the blacklisted domain will not appear until the point at which they become tracked.
