Trade shows, phone calls and other interactions are great ways to get more leads for your business. You can manually add a lead in SharpSpring. Once you have done so, you also may want to opt the lead into receiving emails. That’s a separate action that you can take by following the steps below.

The following User Roles have access opt-in a lead:
- Marketing Manager
- Sales Manager
- Jr. Salesperson
Follow these steps to change a lead to receive emails.
Step One: On the toolbar, hover over Contacts, then on the drop-down, click Contact Manager.
Step Two: Search for the lead, and click the name to open the record.
Step Three: On the top right, click the Options button, then on the drop-down, click Double Opt-in to Emails.
The Opt-in thumbs up x2 icon will display on the lead record to the right of the name.
