Accounts
Account files require two fields:
Field Name | Information
Account Name |
The account's name. |
|||
Account CRM ID |
The CRM ID tied to the account. |
When creating accounts, you can add additional columns for any desired custom fields that you would like to include.
Contacts
Contact files require six fields:
Field Name | Information
Account Name OR Account CRM ID |
Connects the Contacts field to the listed account. Accounts referenced in this Contacts .CSV file must already exist in Lead Gen & CRM or be in the Accounts .CSV file. If the account is not in either, this row will fail. Contacts that do not have an associated account will not be created in Lead Gen & CRM via the Migration Tool. You will need to import those contacts using the Import Tool after the migration. |
|||
Contact CRM ID |
The CRM ID tied to the contact. |
|||
Email Address |
The email address tied to the contact. Ensure that there are no duplicate email addresses. Lead Gen & CRM will only allow one contact per email address. |
|||
First Name |
The first name tied to the contact. |
|||
Last Name |
The last name tied to the contact. |
|||
Is Unsubscribed |
The variable to indicate if the contact is subscribed. Ensure that the values are set to 0 or 1 where 0 is for contacts who are opted in, and 1 is for contacts who are not opted in. |
When creating contacts, you can add additional columns for any desired system or custom fields that you would like to include in the record.
Opportunities
Opportunity files require eleven fields:
Field Name | Information
Account Name OR Account CRM ID |
Connects the Opportunity field to the listed account. If the account in the Opportunities .CSV file is not already an account in Lead Gen & CRM or in the Accounts .CSV file, a new account will be created in Lead Gen & CRM. If the account was not previously created in Lead Gen & CRM or is not part of the Accounts .CSV file, the opportunity will be associated with the account, but the primary contact will not be associated with the account. If there is no account information for an opportunity, this opportunity will not be created in Lead Gen & CRM. Creating an account titled No Account Provided will catch these opportunities. |
|||
Amount |
Determines the monetary amount the opportunity is worth. Do not include currency symbols or commas in this number. The amount needs to be a whole number, as cents are not recorded in the amount. |
|||
Close Date |
Determines the date that the opportunity is closed. Must be in the following format: MM/DD/YYYY hh:mm AM/PM |
|||
Closed |
Determines if an opportunity is closed. This field is populated with either of the following:
|
|||
Opportunity |
The CRM ID tied to the opportunity. If you do not have a CRM ID, you will need to create unique CRM IDs for each opportunity. |
|||
Opportunity |
The opportunity's name. Opportunity names must be unique. |
|||
Owner Email |
The email address tied to the opportunity owner. The owner must exist as a user with this email address in Lead Gen & CRM before the migration. Otherwise, the tool will assign the default user to the opportunity. |
|||
Primary Contact OR Primary Contact |
The email address or CRM ID tied to the primary contact. |
|||
Probability |
Determines the chance the opportunity has to close. This field needs to be a number. In this field, 90% would be denoted as 90. |
|||
Stage Name |
Determines the deal stage in a given pipeline that the opportunity will be set to. The Migration Tool will check to see if there is a deal stage in a pipeline currently in Lead Gen & CRM with the exact name. If there is a deal stage with this name, the opportunity will be placed in this stage. If the stage name does not exist in Lead Gen & CRM, a new stage will be created in the default sales pipeline, and the opportunity will be placed in that stage. Creating deal stages and pipelines before using the Migration Tool ensures the opportunity data will be organized in your preferred manner. |
|||
Won |
Determines if an opportunity is won. This field is populated with either of the following:
|
If you have any required opportunity fields in Lead Gen & CRM in addition to these fields, you will also need to include in the .CSV file. When creating opportunities, you can add additional columns for any desired system or custom fields that you would like to include in the record.
