Creating Audiences from Lists
You can create audiences in Perfect Audience from existing Lead Gen & CRM lists. This is done by syncing the Lead Gen & CRM list with a site in Perfect Audience.
To create audiences from lists, do the following:
- Click Lists in the left toolbar.
- Locate a created list with at least 100 members.
- Click Retarget List next to the list's name.
- Select the desired website from the Sync List to Perfect Audience? drop-down menu.
- Click Done.
Stopping List Syncing
If you no longer want a list to be synced, you can stop the sync between Lead Gen & CRM and Perfect Audience. That said, be aware that your audience will remain in Perfect Audience. However, changes to the list will no longer be synced once the sync between the two platforms is stopped.
To stop a list sync, do the following:
- Click Lists in the left toolbar. Locate a previously synced list.
- Click
Options > Stop Retargeting List next to the list's name.
- Click OK.
Special Considerations for Syncing
When syncing lists, be aware of the following:
- Lists require 100 members in order to be synced. Lists with fewer than 100 members will suffer from poor performance, and the ads will not properly serve.
- Audiences will be nested under websites on Perfect Audience. Clicking the Audience button on a site listing in Perfect Audience will display the audience metrics for that website. The synced Lead Gen & CRM list will show up with the
SharpSpring prefix in the audience listing.
- An icon will display next to synced lists. This
Synced to PA icon will help to identify at-a-glance those lists that have been synced.
- There will be a delay in the initial sync between Lead Gen & CRM and Perfect Audience. This is due to the fact that the synced list is sent to third-party service, and that service tries to establish tracking on those emails. This process takes up to three days. During that time, the synced list will be shown as Pending in Perfect Audience.
- Members—except those who have been excluded—who are added to or removed from lists will sync to Perfect Audience. After the initial sync is completed, all changes made to lists in Lead Gen & CRM will be represented in Perfect Audience.
- List members without an email address you will not sync to Perfect Audience. For example, if a list has five members and one is missing an email address, Lead Gen & CRM will show five members on the synced list and Perfect Audience will show four.
Regarding Sites
You can sync lists only if you have a tracked website. When creating websites for use with Perfect Audience, you will not need to do anything special. Lead Gen & CRM site tracking code also contains Perfect Audience code, and it will not need to be modified for use with Perfect Audience.
Refer to Tracking Your Websites in Lead Gen & CRM for information on creating and tracking websites. Refer to Perfect Audience's help documentation for additional information on website usage with Perfect Audience.
