    We understand the limitations of the RSS email although I would like to point to the 'Style' tab in the email editor. Here, you can:

    • RSS Title Styles, change the font family, size, weight and color of the article title.

    • RSS Body Styles section, change the font family, size, weight and color of the article paragraph text.

    • Image Styles section, add padding or additional space between the images and text of your blog articles.

    Of course, we are always open to suggestions! Our product is where it is today because of the valuable feedback we receive from partners who care enough to help us make the software the best it can be for the benefit of everyone. I encourage you all to provide feedback and utilize the upvote feature in order to tailor your feedback.

    Hello,

    One tip I've found useful for users running on WordPress is the incorporation of the Featured Image of a blog post into the RSS feed. By default, WordPress does not include the featured image in their feed which makes it difficult to produce a "pretty" RSS email.

    If you are dealing with this, check out:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/featured-images-for-rss-feeds/

    If you use the free version, it included the featured image directly in the body text of the RSS feed. In this case, I'd recommend making the image dimensions ~650px wide to fill the width of the email body forcing the text to wrap under it.

    If you purchase the full version, it does utilize the media tag to publish the featured image in your RSS feed (instead of including it in your body text). This will allow for better utilization of the layouts provided with the RSS email template.

    Hope this helps!
    ~Matt

    Bumping this for vision as this is still pretty bad, we are having a few clients getting interested in using RSS feed on Sharpspring and we have been trying to get the RSS emails to look more on brand. Unfortunately, the styling is still incredibly limited. I have submitted a request for this but Sharpspring really needs to attach stable classes instead of classes that change every email.

    Also another route to the above issue of email images you could use this code within your functions.php file on wordpress:

    add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' );

    add_image_size( 'rss_thumbnail', 650, 9999 ); // Unlimited Height Mode

    functionfeaturedtoRSS($content) {
    global $post;
    if ( has_post_thumbnail( $post->ID ) ){
    $content = '<div>' . get_the_post_thumbnail( $post->ID, 'rss_thumbnail', array( 'style' => 'margin: 40px 0;' ) ) . '</div>' . $content;
    }
    return $content;
    }

    add_filter('the_excerpt_rss', 'featuredtoRSS');
    add_filter('the_content_feed', 'featuredtoRSS');

    You will need to regenerate your featured images post adding this but this will tell wordpress to make sure to hand images to Sharpspring because of 04/26/2019 Sharpspring is inconsistent at pulling images from wordpress.

    I would really like to see Sharpspring reach the same capabilities that Constant Contact or Mail Chimp has but for now we gotta hack it a bit.

    Hello,
    I actually did, you can see it here:

    There are a slew of problems with the RSS Feed, of which I am hoping some of these are rectified by the Email Editor update I see is in progress right now:
