    Hello Wim.

Our cookie is a first-party tracking cookie which means all should continue to function and track as normal. This tracking prevention is for third-party cookies used to deliver targeted ads on websites. Firefox does disable cookies by default so that WILL prevent leads from being tracked, but we can’t change that. It’s possible Safari also disables cookies by default in which case tracking wouldn’t work unless the lead actively enables cookies.

Harryson, with the release of the new ITP version 2.2 where it cuts the first-party cookie lifespan from 7 days to 1 day. How will this affect the tracking of contacts in SharpSpring? Here is where I am reading these updates https://digiday.com/marketing/what-is-itp2-2/

Hey, Jason. From the looks of it, this won't impact the way SharpSpring's tracking code works. Much like the last update, it seems the changes concern third-party cookies used to deliver targeted ads on websites. Our cookies are first-party tracking cookies. Bearing that in mind, we don't have control over whether or not customers disable cookies, or if browsers disable them by default. If cookies are disabled, the tracking would be impacted. I hope that helps!

Harryson, from what I read Apple is removing first-party cookies too. I read in the below article Pardot is working on a solution to overcome this, is SharpSpring as well? https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/pardot-cookie-how-impacted-intelligent-tracking-arthur-imirzian/

Hey Jason! Showed this to the team and I haven't found any reason for alarm. We're confident that our current configuration will not see any major impact from these changes. If you have more questions, I suggest contacting our support team directly.
